Egg dealers from the Chinese town Dongjang are starting to prepare dozens of eggs that are going to be used in preparation of a highly bizarre spring dish, very popular in this city. Buckets and buckets full of boyish urine are being collected from suburbian elementary schools because the urine is a key ingredient of the “innocent boys boiled eggs” dish. Most people in Dongjang enjoy this “treat” and believe that these eggs reduces body heat, improve circulation and refresh the body, although medical experts question the medicinal properties of this unusual dish.
